What do I need to do to maintain my furniture to ensure it has a long life?

┬áIf treated with care, this solid wood product will last you for many years to come. Once every week, wipe your furniture with a damp cloth. If you encounter any roughness in the finish of your new crib, fold a piece of regular white paper, not tissue or newspaper, and rub in the direction of the grain with a soft, lint-free cloth. If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children’s products. Let dry, sand with products such as folded paper or dish-washing sponge and, finally, apply water-based baby’s safe lacquer for the perfect matching shine.

When should I convert the crib into a toddler bed and a full-size bed

The time that you convert will depend on each child’s individual comfort level, maturity, and size. When the toddler is able to climb out or reaches the height of 35″ (90cm), the crib should be transitioned to the Toddler Bed stage. In most instances, toddlers will be able to sleep in the Toddler Bed stage comfortably between the ages of 2-5 years old.
We recommend converting the crib to the Adult Bed stage after your child reaches 6 years old, with proper adult supervision. Note that the Adult Bed is not a toy. To avoid head entrapment or hanging hazard, do not allow children to play or climb on Adult Bed. Once a crib has been converted to a toddler/youth bed or adult bed it is not intended to be converted back to a crib. In that instance it will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty
